Avoid Single Use-Plastic Items

Do the planet a favor! With the exception of new bioplastic options, these are petroleum-based materials, and many of these items are not recyclable! Explore alternatives here.

 

Compost

There are multiple ways to compost in the Town of Sharon. For food items, the most convenient option is Black Earth Compost which is collected curbside. For leaves and yard waste, there's both curbside and Farnham Road Options. Learn more about composting here.

 

Recycle

There are so many ways to recycle in Sharon, including: curbside single-stream (no plastic bags), textiles at the high school, plastic bags and film at Shaws. Learn where to recycle here.

 

Trash

Sharon is a MassDEP SMART (Save-Money-And-Reduce-Trash) town! This program reduces the cost of trash collection and Sharon’s trash footprint. Read more about Sharon’s trash collection here.
