Another Terrific Green Day!

Although the first half of Green Day 2017 started out a little soggy, more than 400 people joined in the festivities, both inside and outside of the First Congregational Church.  There was a continuous flow of folks in the great hall, visiting with various exhibitors, and rocking out to the music of the Mighty Silverbacks and Senchant’s Art of Teaching Music School.

Ultimately, the sun came out and folks were able to enjoy the outdoor exhibits as well.  Of great interest was a large display of electric and hybrid cars, including an impressive Tesla with wing doors.  The Chubby Chickpea food truck provided delicious food, serving everything from falafel sandwiches to chick pea fries.

Green Day is a team effort and wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the following:

Thanks also to the many folks who helped set up and break down the event.  We’re probably missing a few folks here, but a big shout out goes to: Joe McClusky, Tim Humphries, Milo & Beth Rodio, Chuck Bordman, Lajos Kamocsay, Sadhak Sengupta, Yuri Nowikov, Danny Schnitzer, Elliot Pototsky, David Pototsky, Eli Wasserman, PS Reddy, Siddharth Reddy, Shashank Reddy, Jack Rosenfeld – and all of the amazing members of the Sustainable Sharon Coalition (you know who you are)!
