The Alliance is working on a first-of-its-kind regional campaign to educate residents about how easy and painless it is to reduce water, sewer and energy bills, while protecting local waterways and wildlife, through greater efficiency.
From now through June 20, 2014 the Alliance is offering its customers grant funded rebates for the purchase of qualifying WaterSense labeled toilets and Energy Star rated clothes washers Each town in the Alliance has different terms and conditions, and Sharon’s is as follows:
• 1/2 the cost of a toilet, up to $200 – for a WaterSense labeled toilet that uses 1.28 gallons per flush or less.
• $200 – for clothes washers with an Energy Star water factor of 4.0 or less.
Residents are also eligible to receive FREE WaterSense labeled showerheads and faucet aerators, simply by visiting the water department. Supplies are limited.
